Update: Do to problems within the Patch Tribe, the Great Spirit has given us another month to get our act together. New Deadline. Dec. 30th.

Update: With the deadline coming up soon, we have one question to ask: Are you ready?

Update: Joining for points has been extended to November 10th! In this time, Shaman who have not put up a profile will need to. For those that have all three Shamans and their spirit allies depicted already, now is your chance to track down and or locate people to do prizes and other possible contestants. Every 500 years…

About: Here’s gist of it is this: You will take characters you already have, be them fan characters or original one, and make them into Shamans for the Shaman Fight, the epic once in every 500 year battle as seen in the graphic novel Shaman King.

They can be anything spiritual, from Necromancers to Voo-doo doctors. Every entry will include in-between scenes, like chilling at the Patch Tribe's Corn King, or nursing wounds after a hard battle. You may include the battle itself, but this is not a requirement. Wins are counted up in Mana points. Whoever has the most Mana wins!


Rules:

-All entries will be in comic form (sorry writers).

-Every participant will get one extend call. If you ask to have the deadline pushed back, it'll be pushed back a day or two. You can only do this once, however.

-If you want to forfeit, but feel up to doing just one more, please feel free to draw about your team losing. Remember, it's the Mana points that count. Even if you drop out, you may still rank in placement.

-Everyone can vote up until the deadline.

-You may only vote once.

-You cannot place a vote on your own entry, only entries of others.

-When you upload your entry, send it here via note. They will then be uploaded in the gallery.

-All voting will be done in the voting format


Voting:

Everyone can vote up until the deadline day. You're mom, sister, pet lizard- as long as they have a dA name.

The voting will be done in an Iron Chef structure.

Style: (How the comic was presented, more or less how it was done up) 0-10
Content: (What was inside the comic, is the plot interesting? Are the characters coming alive?) 0-10
Layout: (Was the comic easy to read? Did they make good use of space?) 0-10

Remember! Who ever has more Mana points wins. And you can only vote once!

Joining:

To join, you must draw your squad of three Shaman Fight Contestants and their spirit partners. A brief bio may be include but not necessary at this time. You do not have to draw a comic for this first entry, you may if you want to. It can be a single picture, multiple pictures, a comic strip or several pages long. Just introduce your characters to us somehow!

The joining contest will be open as long as the contest is going. HOWEVER, you will only get mana points if you join before the deadline. You will get 150 Mana points for completetion of this task!

FAQ

Q: The characters, do they have to be from fanfictions on DA?
A: No, but they can. They can be from any fan fiction you have, any story line, anything. As long as it’s yours. Fan characters and Originals are welcomed!

Q: How long does this comic need to be?
A: These is no page limit on entries

Q: Does the comic need to be in colour
A: The entries can be in colour, or black and white. It’s up to you. :3

:3 DAILY DOUBLE!

There will be Mini-Mana Challanges. There'll be themed Chapter breaks, and if you send one in, you'll get Mana for it. This I am 100% sure.

Feel free to make Chapter breaks as you want to, regardless of the theme. This MAY give you more points from the Great Spirit.
